Dr. Jessica May is a native to the Adirondack Mountains. She ventured west to complete her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, California. While completing her graduate degree she spent many years as a medical massage therapist treating mostly chronic pain conditions and enhancing her knowledge in the functionality of the neuromuscular system and holding patterns.
Prior to that she completed her Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine at Everglades University. Additionally, she holds certifications in microneedling, prenatal and postnatal massage, reiki, and 200 hour yoga teacher training.
Dr. May has a diverse background in the medical field including 10 years of experience in various specialty offices working alongside medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists. She believes in an integrative healthcare model. With years of coordinating patient care, she is determined to put together all the missing pieces to ensure you make progress and eventually find relief. While Dr. May has experience in working with a wide variety of conditions, she has extensive training in treating orthopedic disorders and chronic pain.
Holistic medicine became a thriving passion early on in Dr. May’s journey due to her fascination with the human body and deep appreciation for nature. She is dedicated to facilitating an experience for each patient to align with their desired state of wellness.
In her free time, Dr. May enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors—hiking, camping, exploring new terrain, traveling, enjoying live music and adventuring with her dog, Nova.
